Having signed a master freight forwarding services agreement with MODEC Offshore Production Systems (MOPS) earlier this year, Blue Water Shipping has been providing logistics services on the FPSO Guanabara MV31 project.

MV31 is the 14th FPSO/FSO unit that MOPS will deliver in Brazil, and it will be deployed in the Mero oil field in the pre-salt region of the Santos Basin. MOPS is responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the FPSO unit.

Jason Goh, Blue Water Shipping’s regional managing director, Asia Pacific, said that working with MOPS is a “big milestone” for the company. “Our offices in Singapore, China, Brazil, Denmark, Norway, USA, Germany, Italy and France will be involved [in the project], and we will also have our own experts working ‘in-house’ at the MOPS offices in Singapore, China and Brazil.”
