Jumbo Shipping bangs the drums in Antwerp

May 18 - Jumbo Shipping's Fairplayer successfully loaded several heavy items, among them two 625 tonne coke drums, each 42m long and with a diameter of 10m, at the port of Antwerp.

The largest lift was a 1,200 tonne vacuum tower 50m in length and 17m in diameter. It was manoeuvred to the quayside by SPMT prior to being loaded on a barge for positioning between ship and quayside. All non-essential ship staff were sent ashore prior to the 90 minute loading operation.

Fairplayer then set sail for Port Arthur, Texas, USA to deliver this consignment to the Shell Motiva Project.
