Heavy Lift Across the World

Safe Lifting puts power in its stock

Equipment rental company Safe Lifting Europe has added the Green Pin Power Sling Shackle range from Van Beest to its product range, available in capacities from 125 tonnes to 1,250 tonnes.

According to Safe Lifting Europe, it is the first rental company in the world to stock the Green Pin Power Sling Shackle range, which is manufactured with maritime, energy, and other heavy lift applications in mind.

Launched last year, as HLPFI reported here, the shackles feature eight lifting points, an increase of 10 percent on the width of the crown, and an optimal D/d ratio that boosts the bending efficiency of the wire rope to 85 percent.

Mark Heick, marketing manager at Safe Lifting Europe, anticipates that the characteristics of the heavy lifting shackle, which has been type approved by DNV GL, will suit on and offshore maritime customers, particularly in the wind energy market.

"We're committed to healthy stock levels and have multiple units of each capacity, up to 1,250 tonnes, available immediately," said Heick. "We need to be able to respond to demand for short-term rental for single lifts, and long-term hire for project durations."

The Power Sling Shackle joins other Green Pin products in Safe Lifting Europe's rental range, including the GP P6033 Sling Shackle and GP P6036 Heavy Duty Shackle.
