Geodis reorganises regional network

Geodis has established four new regions - Western Europe, Middle East & Africa, Northern & Continental Europe and Americas & Asia Pacific regions - alongside the group’s existing lines of business.

As part of the reorganisation of its board, operational team and regional network, long-standing management figure Eric Martin-Neuville will take control of the group’s global freight forwarding division, which includes an industrial projects section that is dedicated to complex out-of-gauge operations for companies in sectors such as oil and gas, mining, and renewable energy.

Chief executive Marie-Christine Lombard said: “We believe this new organisation will make it easier for our customers to access our services through a stronger local presence. It will also offer more opportunities to develop end-to-end logistics solutions to optimise our clients’ supply chains.”

Led by Lombard, the board of management includes Laurent Parat for Western Europe, Middle East and Africa; Thomas Kraus for Northern and Continental Europe; Randy Thomas for the Americas; and Onno Boots for Asia Pacific.

In addition to Martin-Neuville in global freight forwarding, also on the board of management from the company’s lines of business are Olivier Mélot from distribution and express, Olivier Rover from road transport and Boris Pernet from supply chain optimisation.

They are joined by group functional executives including chief financial officer, Amaury Valicon; corporate secretary, Stéphane Cassagne; information technology, Henri Linière; human resources, Mario Ceccon; business development and marketing, Kim Pedersen; and innovation and business excellence, Philippe de Carné.
