First modules move for Tengiz oilfield

Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers has loaded the first modular cargo at Shinhan, South Korea for Tengizchevroil's (TCO) Future Growth Project-Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FPG-WPMP).

The shipping line's Kang Sheng Kou is on route to Hamina, Finland in the first voyage of a contract awarded to it by TCO in September 2016 for the module transportation aspects of the project.

For the duration of this project, Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers, together with its subcontractor Dongbang Transport Logistics, will employ a large fleet of deck transport vessels (DTV) to execute multiple voyages from fabrication yards in South Korea (Okpo and Shinhan) and Italy (Marina di Carrara) to Hamina, Finland and Burgas, Bulgaria.
