Mammoet invests in Kazakhstan

Mammoet has expanded its presence in Kazakhstan with the opening of an office in Aktau, which will have 40 employees and operate under the Mammoet-Kasmashal banner.

The Dutch engineered transport and heavy lifting specialist said the new facility brings it closer to customers in the fast-growing market, allowing for more localised support and swift mobilisation.

The new branch will predominantly provide services to the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining and wind energy sectors.

General director, Geoffrey Collins, said the new facility reflects the company’s long term commitment to supporting growth in the region. “We already have a number of projects planned in the region and are mobilising equipment to Kazakhstan as a result,” he said.

“We are now equipped to meet the future demands of the Kazakhstan market.”

The fleet in Kazakhstan will include crawler cranes from Liebherr, Sennebogen and Kobelco, as well as rough-terrain cranes, 60 axle lines of SPMTs, 24 axle lines of conventional trailers, as well as 8 x 8 trucks.
