Volga-Dnepr delivers for Yamal LNG

Volga-Dnepr Airlines has delivered 130 tonnes of industrial equipment from Novy Urengoy to Sabetta in Russia for the Yamal LNG project.

On behalf of AeroTransCargo, Volga-Dnepr transported a 30-tonne high pressure pump, in addition to 100 tonnes of other gas recovery equipment, using two AN-124-100 flights.

The flights were completed in the challenging conditions of the polar region, with temperatures as low as -35º C.

The equipment was delivered to Volga-Dnepr's AN-124-100 from the customer's warehouse in Novy Urengoy before being loaded into the aircraft using a ramp extension and the freighter's onboard cranes.

The first flight delivered 70 tonnes of equipment to Sabetta International Airport before returning to Novy Urengoy to collect the remaining 60 tonnes of cargo.
