XLP members on the move

Westdijk has transported a 98-ton (88.9-tonne) transformer from Ludvika to port of Gothenburg, Sweden on behalf of ABB.

The transformer was loaded at ABB’s facilities in Ludvika for the road transport to Gothenburg, a distance of 450 km. In total, the combination weighed 177 tons (160.6 tonnes).

Elsewhere, China’s Chirey Group has transported 310-ton (281.2-tonne) transformers to Durban, South Africa on behalf of Energy China.

Chirey was responsible for the loading of the cargo in China, Customs clearance and final delivery in Durban.

Meanwhile, Megalift Malaysia has transported equipment for a rubber manufacturing facility from Port Klang, Malaysia to Jurong Port in Singapore.

The cargoes included a pressure vessel storage tank, which measured 15.6 m x 7.1 m x 7.5 m and weighed 68.5 tons (62.14 tonnes); two 46-ton (41.7-tonne) blending tanks; and smaller storage tanks that weighed 16 tons (14.5 tonnes) and 16.5 tons (14.9 tonnes), respectively.

Westdijk, Chirey Group and Megalift Malaysia are members of the XLProjects (XLP) network in Sweden, China and Malaysia, respectively.
