Aaras puts on the power in Pakistan

January 14 - Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) network member for Pakistan, Aaras Shipping Agencies has transported power generation equipment from Karachi Port to Guddu power station in the Kashmore district of Sindh, 650 km inland.

The shipment consisting of gas turbines, steam generators and associated equipment, was loaded onto the Hong Qing in Shanghai before transit to Pakistan.

On arrival in Karachi the 815 item consignment was discharged from the vessel in under 48 hours. The over dimensional cargoes were transported by low bed trailers, while the smaller pieces were moved by standard trailers to the project site.
