December 21 - AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) continued its period of strong growth with a 27 percent year-on-year rise in cargo carried during November 2015.

ABC transported over 50,000 tonnes of cargo across its global route network in November, with overall results for the first 11 months of 2015 up 20 percent compared with the same period in 2014.

"In 2015, ABC has continued following its growth strategy, which is based on a combination of operating a highly efficient fleet, network expansion to the points of production and consumption, developing niche destinations with limited belly capacity but stable cargo flows, and a high level of service quality delivered by skilled air cargo professionals," said ABC executive president Denis Ilin.

2015 has seen ABC take delivery of two new Boeing 747-8 freighters, bringing the airline's fleet of B747-8 aircraft to eight.

The airline also added cargo routes to and from Singapore and Hanoi, Vietnam; as well as launching services to Helsinki, Finland; and adding Los Angeles and Atlanta to its North American network.

ABC says that it plans to invest in more freighters and concentrate on further network expansion in 2016, with the introduction of additional frequencies on major routes - primarily in the USA.
