Agility on the double in Gothenburg

December 11 - Agility has managed the delivery of two 500-tonne energy modules, produced by Siemens AS, Oil & Gas Solutions for an offshore oil and gas rig in Brazil, from Sweden to Norway.

The modules, each of which had the dimensions 16 m x 16 m x 15 m, were moved from the manufacturing yard to the quayside at the Port of Gothenburg on a combination of conventional trailers and SPMTs, provided by Mammoet.

Variations in ground pressure limits within the loading area required no fewer than 72 sets of axles at one point and a large area of fencing had to be dismantled in order for the units to be loaded onto a Hansa Heavy Lift vessel, for oncarriage to Grimstad, Norway.
