September 21 - AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) is extending its all-cargo services from China with a new twice-weekly B747-400 freighter flight from Zhengzhou to Europe - the first fruits of a strategic cooperation between ABC and Zhengzhou International Ai

Flights from the capital of Henan province depart from Zhengzhou International Airport every Wednesday and Saturday to ABC's hub in Moscow and then continue onto Frankfurt, Germany, connecting central China with Europe and Russia.

ABC said it aims to increase frequencies to four B747F flights per week by the end of the year, and daily flights by 2011.

Following the accelerated development of inland regions prioritized by China's central government, Henan province - the most populous province in China - is attracting investment from major export-oriented manufacturers, due to its well developed land transportation network, favorable investment climate and access to land, labor, and other resources at a competitive cost.

The new air cargo service offered by ABC from Zhengzhou is logical step in developing a complete logistical infrastructure in central China, the company said, and will also benefit the development of neighboring cities such as Wuhan, Chongqing, and Chengdu.

Zhengzhou is the fourth destination in China for ABC, joining Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
