September 10 - The ArcelorMittal Las Truchas plant in Mexico has supplied more than 192,000 tonnes of steel rebar for the USD5.25 billion Panama Canal expansion project.

ArcelorMittal Projects' Netherlands-based team has coordinated the logistics and sales operations.

The latest rebar delivery, supplied in grade 60 and grade 75, will be used in the construction of the third set of locks.

ArcelorMittal Projects, part of Distribution Solutions, is specialised in the management of large projects for the construction, oil and gas, as well as foundation solutions markets.

Geodis Wilson has just successfully delivered the third set of lock gates, which were shipped from Trieste in early August.
