Barge is best for Lift & Shift

May 20 - Lift & Shift India Pvt Ltd has successfully transported eight large modules from Hazira in India to Das Island in the United Arab Emirates.

Working on behalf of Technip for the ADGAS project, Lift & Shift utilised 90m barges to ship the cargoes. The heaviest piece was 634 tonnes, another was nearly 30m in length.

The Mumbai-based operator was also responsible for executing the onshore transport and roll-on operation in Hazira and used SPMT trailers capable of completing 360 degree turns in order to navigate the cargoes from the fabrication area to the jetty.

The project began in December last year and was completed earlier this month.
