BigRoll Beaufort completes the series

March 23 - The fourth and final MC Class vessel, BigRoll Beaufort, has been delivered by Cosco Dalian Shipyard to BigRoll Shipping in Leiden, the Netherlands.

BigRoll Beaufort completes the series of four identical deck carriers. HLPFI reported in December 2016 that the third vessel, BigRoll Baffin, had joined BigRoll Bering and BigRoll Barentsz in the Dutch company's fleet.

The Finnish Swedish 1A Ice Class MC Class vessels are explicitly designed for the marine transportation of major modules and equipment for large energy projects both on and offshore and can deliver to remote and inaccessible areas, claims BigRoll.

BigRoll Beaufort will enter a short-term project with Yamgaz, the consortium of Technip, JGC Corporation and Chiyoda, for module transportation as part of the Yamal LNG project.
