August 8 - Grieg Star's multipurpose vessel Star Lygra has delivered equipment for a biomass plant under construction in Albany to the Port of Brunswick in Georgia, USA.

The equipment will be used as part of the 50 MW biomass plant, which is owned and will be operated by Constellation Energy. The plant will provide 60-70 percent of the total energy requirements for Procter & Gamble's (P&G) facility in Albany.

In addition, the facility will generate electricity for Georgia Power under a 20-year power purchase agreement. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2017.

While at the Port of Brunswick, Grieg Star also unloaded vegetable oil processing equipment for ADM's oilseeds facility in Valdosta, Georgia.
