November 20 - SBM Offshore has chosen Blue Water Shipping to handle the transportation and freight forwarding of spare parts and equipment for FPSO Cidade de Ilhabela during the production phase.

The majority of the cargo will be transported by sea freight, moving mainly from the UK and USA.

For a number of years, Blue Water has handled all logistics for SBM Offshore's new projects in connection with the construction of several floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units.

"We are pleased to continue our good cooperation with SBM Offshore on these exciting projects," said Leonardo Lima, general manager at Blue Water Rio. "Together, we have developed our relationship and our competences for handling complex projects like these."

Blue Water is also handling the logistics in connection with the construction of FPSOs Cicade de Maricá and Cidade de Saquarema.

In July, Blue Water was also awarded transports in connection with the demobilisation of FPSO Brazil, which included transporting the parts to all corners of the world, said the company.
