“We have developed a strong expertise with complex project transport in the Caspian region, and we will continue to focus on providing excellence logistics solutions to the industry,” explained Stewart Macdonald, business development manager. “To do so, we have decided to expand our presence with a new office in Atyrau. In this way we will be closer to our clients and our network of partners.”

Through its existing offices in Aktau, Kazakhstan; Tbilisi, Georgia; and Baku, Azerbaijan, Blue Water Shipping has provided transport and logistics services for the oil and energy sector in the region for more than 20 years.

Macdonald added: “Our extensive experience in Customs clearance within the region has added value to our transport projects and logistics business, which at times can be challenging. Our Customs team are experts in solving any issues complex or otherwise to and from the region”.

Currently, Blue Water Shipping is overseeing the project management for the Tengizchevroil (TCO) future growth project-wellhead pressure management project in Kazakhstan.

“This project has allowed us to increase our expertise and competences in the energy sector both in Kazakhstan and further afield. We see a strong set-up in Kazakhstan as a natural step forward for us,” said Thomas Bek, global director for Blue Water Shipping’s oil and gas division.

He added that Blue Water Shipping predicts further growth in the energy sector and related segments in the region.
