Blue Water makes new terminal investment

July 6 - Blue Water Shipping is investing EUR16 million (USD17.6 million) in a new 12,300 sq m cargo terminal near to Taulov in Fredericia, Denmark.

The new terminal will be 250 m long by 50 m wide, with 100 loading bays and an expected weekly intake of between 800 and 1,000 trucks. Also included in the investment is 1,800 sq m of new office facilities.

The construction project is scheduled for completion by the summer of 2016.

Søren Nielsen, director of general cargo at Blue Water, said that the new terminal will become a centre for its European road traffic operations, as well as its growing parcel activities and much of its ocean freight business.
