July 31 - Norway headquartered Boa Barges has appointed Mark van Meel as the company's president at its Houston, Texas based subsidiary Boa Barges LLC.
Boa runs a fleet of heavy lift semi-submersible, deck cargo and dredging barges; the company claims to provide offshore transportation of modules and structures, windmill installation, float-overs and jacket launches. Boa adds that it has an extensive newbuilding programme underway in China.
