A shipment of 16 GEFCO car transport wagons has been moved from Montoir-de-Bretagne in France to the port of Tangiers in Morocco.

Ro-ro cargo specialist Somaloir loaded the wagons onto Mafi trailers before rolling them into the hold of Spirit of Montoi. The ship sailed on the Milk Run Med line rotation operated by LD Seaplane (a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs) between Montoir, Tangiers, Tunis, Naples and Cadiz.

The wagons, which can carry up to ten vehicles, were refurbished in France and will be used between Kenitra and the port of Tangier 200 km away.

A statement from LD Seaplane noted that the soon-to-be opened plant in Kenitra will manufacture 100,000 cars annually, 25,000 of which will be bound for Montoir in 2020.

28 car transport wagons will be shipped to Morocco during June. More are scheduled for autumn.
