March 22 - China's first domestically developed jumbo freighter aircraft is ready to launch into official service, according to reports in the Chinese media.
HLPFI reported in January 2013 that the aircraft Yun-20, or Transport-20, successfully conducted its first test flight (http://tinyurl.com/bng3ho9).
Russian-made engines currently power the Yun-20 but will ultimately be replaced by units designed and built in China.
