Conbit, a subsidiary of transport engineering company ALE, has acquired a telescopic knuckle boom crane designed for offshore lifting – the CK050F.

ATEX-certified for offshore lifting applications, the crane is capable of executing multiple functions simultaneously, including slewing, luffing and lifting, said Conbit.

It features variable speed controls and can lift up to 9.7 tonnes on platforms or at harbours.

“By introducing this unique crane into our fleet, we can really strengthen our offshore lifting capabilities and offer a crane that is ideally suited to many different applications,” explained Bram van Oirschot, tender manager for Conbit.

“It is lightweight and versatile, making it hugely beneficial when there is restricted site space and limited lifting resources.”
