Conxion turns up the heat

December 13 - Conxion Logistics & Heavy Equipment has shipped two 115-tonne heat exchangers from Italy to Qatar for the Qatar Fuel Additives Company Limited (QAFAC).

Conxion won the contract to deliver the exchangers, each of which had the dimensions 25 m x 4.5 m x 4.6 m, for the QAFAC turnaround project scheduled to take place in spring 2014.

The heat exchangers were shipped as breakbulk cargo from Italy to the port of Doha, from where they were transported about 60 km to QAFAC's plant in Meseaid Industrial City and offloaded using 300 tonne capacity cranes.

Conxion Logistics & Heavy Equipment joined the Project Cargo Network (PCN) in June 2012 as a representative in Qatar.
