July 4 - Cruz Logistics and First Global Logistics have worked together to handle the shipment of construction material for Arabtec Consolidated Contractors (ACC).

The entire consignment, which included items such as scaffolding, pipes, pumps and frames, was shipped Egypt's Alexandria port to St Petersburg before being transported to Kazakhstan.

The shipment was broken into three parts, including three 30 ft open top containers, 31 40 ft high cube containers, and another 30 40 ft high cube containers, along with two 40 ft open tops. The total consignment weighed in at around 971 tonnes.

Some of the work undertaken by the two companies included scanning market rates and signing a contract with Maersk; completing the documentation and Customs formalities for both ports; creating a loading and precarriage plan; organising the oncarriage to the final destination; and returning the empty containers after discharge.
