December 11 - Following reports in the international media that Singapore lawyers had seized a heavylift vessel from Cosco Shipping Co Ltd (Coscol) for "unspecified reasons," Coscol has issued the following statement:
"The vessel was released on or about 7:42 pm Singapore time on December 4, 2013. The claims brought against COSCOL (HK) INVESTMENT & DEVELOPMENT CO LTD leading to the arrest of the vessel are in relation to some dispute under a charter party and are being disputed in arbitration in London," clarified the company.
