May 13 - Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) recently handled a 167-tonne drop-forging hammer at its O'Swaldkai terminal.

The hammer arrived at the German gateway on a barge from Lovosice in the Czech Republic, where it was unloaded using HHLA's floating crane before being temporarily stored at Unikai Lagerei- und Speditionsgesellschaft facilities.

The hammer is destined for the USA and is due to be rolled-on to ACL's Atlantic Convoy on May 14 using a special heavy-duty trailer.

Unikai Lagerei- und Speditionsgesellschaft is a HHLA subsidiary that specialises in the handling of ro-ro ships.
