December 10 - Anyone visiting Melbourne, Australia this month might want to drop in to a new exhibition taking place at the city's Mission to Seafarers at 717 Flinders.

Bridgit Thomas' exhibition of drawings and watercolours provide a perspective on the superstructures of oil rigs and transporters as they glide through the bay without fanfare or fuss.

These superstructures dominate the landscape and fill up the sky and this exhibition is an attempt to make sense of their chaos, confusion and sheer size, say the organisers.

Thomas has spent hours going through images from www.aquamanships.com and getting a lot from her own boat to create a display like no other seen at the Mission.

The exhibition was opened by Andrew Mackinnon of www.aquamanships.com on December 7 and will last until December 22.
