October 24 - Cosco Shipping's 28,000 dwt multipurpose heavy lift vessel Da Liang has been delivered to the carrier, and is now in service at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard.
This delivery takes the number of heavy lift vessels owned by Cosco with a tandem lifting capacity of 700 tonnes, to eight.
The new vessel has an overall length of 179.5 m and a breadth of 28 m, and is suitable for carrying over-length, oversize and overweight cargoes in the specialised shipping market.
