July 6 - Gebr

The first shipment was two special suction hoses packed in a steel crate, weighing 29 tonnes, each with the dimensions 31.5 m x 2.12 m x 2.54 m. The cargo was loaded in Szeged, Hungary and made the whole journey by road to Hamburg, Germany.

The second lot of cargo, which comprised a ship's gangway, had the dimensions "20.2 m x 3.42 m x 3.5 m and the weight was 24 tonnes", reported Franco Ravazzolo, manager of project logistics and breakbulk at Gebrüder Weiss.

He described the cargo as being transported first by truck "from Turon in Poland to Hamburg", which was arranged by fellow PCN member Scandinavian Express, and "from there as breakbulk cargo on a Cosco container ship to Dalian, China."
