Gruber Logistics and Gebrüder Weiss have transported a cooler component, weighing 80 tonnes, from Hungary to Austria.

The cooler section, measuring 17.1 m x 5 m x 3.8 m, was loaded onto a special 14-axle lowbed trailer in Fényeslitke. For the transportation to Gmunden in Austria, the configuration of the cooler had to be altered several times along the route.

Ramona Duckstein, Gruber executive support manager, said: “The route surveys were already made at the beginning of the year, but due to new construction sites in Hungary during the summer season, the plans had to be changed a few days before the pick-up and a new route survey had to be quickly arranged.

“However, in the end, everything ran smoothly and the cooler was delivered on time in Gmunden, Austria."

The cooler will form part of the upgrade of a clinker cement plant in Austria.

Gruber Logistics and Gebrüder Weiss are both members of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
