January 28 - Hansa Heavy Lift has strengthened its managerial team with the addition of Maximilian Harmstorf as head of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Harmstorf has over a decade of experience in the maritime industry and spent eight years in Asia in senior management roles for a number of brokers and shipping lines.

Harmstorf joined Hansa Heavy Lift in 2014 as senior chartering manager in Singapore. His promotion completes Hansa Heavy Lift's restructure into regional divisions including EMEA, Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Americas.

"Our in-house engineering expertise means we can develop the right solution for our clients and I am looking forward to sharing that knowledge with our growing customer base in the EMEA region," said Harmstorf.

Roger Iliffe, Hansa Heavy Lift ceo, said he was looking forward to a strong 2015 backed by an experienced team at the helm of the company's new regional divisions and a network of exclusive agents worldwide. "Our decision to move to a regional structure has proved to be a success for Hansa Heavy Lift and I am delighted to welcome Max to his new role," he said.
