July 19 - Effective end of August 2017, Hapag-Lloyd will add a fourth vessel to one of its services in the West Africa trade, improving the sailing frequency to weekly.

The service will also be renamed MWX - Mediterranean West Africa Express and will call at Tangier, Algeciras, Cotonou, Apapa (Lagos), Tincan (Lagos) and Tema before returning to Tangier.

With the upgrade of its MWX - Mediterranean West Africa Express, Hapag-Lloyd will terminate its WMX service which offered calls at La Spezia, advising that all existing connections to its service network will be maintained via its hub ports of Tangier and Algeciras.
