November 14 - Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (HHLA) increased its revenue by 6 percent to EUR906.7 million (USD1.13 billion) during the first nine months of 2014.

The company saw its operating profit grow by 10.9 percent year-on-year to EUR131.3 million (USD163.7 million).

The German logistics and transportation company, which operates three container terminals at the Port of Hamburg, said it expanded its position in the container transport market and increased its hinterland transport volume by over 10 percent, while upping container throughput at the gateway.

The pace of growth was restricted by a decrease in feeder traffic at HHLA's Hamburg terminals that stemmed from a significant reduction in traffic with Russia.
