September 11 - Following the closure of the Amsterdam Container Terminal (ACT) in 2013, Wagenborg is transporting five disused container cranes from the port of Amsterdam to Spain and Poland.

Three of the cranes are being towed to Tenerife using Wagenborg's newest pontoon Wagenborg Barge 11, while the remaining two cranes will be towed on a hired pontoon, CC Atlantique, to the Polish port of Gdynia.

SPMTs, equipped with specially designed beams, were deployed to load the cranes one-by-one from the quayside onto the pontoons, before the huge units, weighing around 1,500 tonnes each, were fastened onto the barges ready for shipment.
