April 17 - HLI Rail & Rigging has transported a 134-tonne transformer by rail from Eagle Pass, Texas over 2,500 km to Troy, Ohio, before transporting it to its final destination in Luckey, Ohio by road.

HLI picked up the transformer at a rail siding in Troy, and transferred the unit onto a transport trailer using a jack and slide system.

The route to the final destination involved crossing a small bridge that could not support the weight of the transformer, so HLI was required to use a bridge jumper to bypass the obstacle.

On arrival at a substation in Luckey, Ohio, HLI's riggers set to work offloading the transformer and placing it on a final pad ready for installation using a heavy-duty crane.
