January 27 - Tom Kornegay, the executive director at the Port of Houston Authority for the past 17 years, is retiring, effective February 1st.
Mr Kornegay started with the Port of Houston in 1972 in its engineering department, going on to oversee the expansive Bayport terminal complex development in recent years.
His retirement brings to a close his 37-year tenure with the port authority.
