August 3 - In July, Industrial Echo - the most recent addition to Intermarine's fleet, which was delivered in mid January, made its the first call at Industrial Terminals in Houston joining the shipping line's South Americas service.

To commemorate the occasion, a maiden voyage plaque was presented by Ernie Farrand of Industrial Terminals to the ship's master, Captain Raul Lopez.

Industrial Echo is the final in a series of four new sister ships entering the Intermarine fleet. Designated as the Eagle class vessels, these 10,000 dwt ships feature dual 250 tonne cranes that may be combined for 500 tonne lifts. With an overall length of 139 m and beam of 20 m, the ships have a similar hull design as the seven Century and six Diamond class vessels operated by Intermarine services, but with increased cargo carrying capacity.
