March 30 - Instar Logistics has coordinated the transport of five oversize boilers over 7,200 km from the Bosch factory in Germany to a site in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.

The engines, each of which weighed around 85 tonnes, were first transported by road from the manufacturing plant in Gunzenhausen to the German river port of Roth for shipment by barge to the Port of Rotterdam.

From Rotterdam, the engines were loaded onto ships and delivered to the Russian Port of St Petersburg, before being transported on low loader trailers by road to Kazakhstan. Instar handled all necessary surveys and organised Customs clearance operations.

Bosch
explained that some bridges had to be negotiated en route, while a number of power lines had to be temporarily removed due to the 5 m high cargoes.
