July 19 - Intermarine has taken delivery of Industrial Edge, the third in a series of four newbuildings entering the shipping line's fleet this year.

Delivered in Portugal earlier this month, Industrial Edge sailed for Hamburg, Antwerp, Rotterdam, and St. Nazaire (France) where the ship is loading project cargoes for Brazil. The heaviest piece is a 320-tonne engine loading in St. Nazaire for Manaus, Brazil.

Nominated as the E-Class series, these 10,000 DWT vessels feature dual 250-tonne cranes that may be combined for 500 tonne lifts. With an overall length of 139 metres and a beam of 20 metres, the ships have a similar hull design as the seven Century and six Diamond class vessels operated by Intermarine services, but with increased cargo carrying capacity.

The remaining vessel in the series, Industrial Echo, is expected to deliver in early 2010.
