ISS Australia buys Christy & Griffin

December 30 - Maritime services provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has acquired marine surveying and consultancy firm, Christy & Griffin, headquartered in New South Wales, Australia.

The acquisition will widen the portfolio of services offered by ISS Australia in the Australasian market, said a company statement.

Christy & Griffin has a strong presence in the region, with operations at numerous gateways in New South Wales and Victoria, with associates in Queensland and Western Australia. It can deliver cargo consultancy services and surveying, vessel surveys, flag stage audits, port captain and P&I services.

"This new partnership will combine our existing network with Christy & Griffin's core capability to offer world class marine surveying service combined with our wider geographical presence and integrated service range," explained Danny Rees, general manager, ISS Australia.

Christy & Griffin will continue to operate as an independent company and the current permanent employees will remain with the business.
