October 26 - Finland's Silvasti Ltd has transported five massive steel structures from Kalajoki to Kasn

These bridge blocks, which are the biggest to date in Finland, says Silvasti, were destined for a new bridge at Lövö measuring some 470 m in length.

Silvasti, which is the Finish member of the Cargo Equipment Experts Ltd (CEE), says that the contract included loading and securing the structures and subsequent transport to the worksite by barge.

The two largest structures were each 114 m in length and 11 m wide. Each weighed 240 tonnes.

The CEE is a global network for Cargo Equipment Owners such as haulers, crane operators, tug and barge operators, stevedores and export packers, port operators and air cargo handling equipment owners and supporting industry, serving the heavy and outsized cargo industry.
