June 18 - Mumbai headquartered KOG Transport (India) recently executed a large project shipment from Nhava Sheva, India to Singapore.

The consignment was made up of five over-dimensional cargoes, the largest of which measured 10.5 m x 7.1 m x 7.1 m and weighed approximately 15 tonnes.

The size of the units made it impossible to move by road to Mumbai Port. Instead, KOG arranged for the shipment to be transported to the nearby Nhava Sheva container freight station. Upon arrival, the heavy units were lashed onto flat racks and moved to the APM Terminal for loading onboard container vessel JPO Veila.

KOG Transport arranged special parking arrangements for the vehicles at the APM Terminal, so the heavy units could be delivered directly to the container vessel. KOG also pre-arranged special permissions to move the out-of-gauge cargoes through the APM Terminal - minimising the chance of any delay to the shipment.
