December 21 - Effective January 1, 2016, Magnus Lander will become managing director for TransAtlantic AB, replacing Heléne Mellquist.

Lander has been working as the Swedish shipping company's line director since February 2015.

He has broad shipping experience having worked with Stena in commercial and ship management roles, as well as a seafarer as ship captain.

TransAtlantic says it will focus on the ownership and chartering of ro-ro and short sea bulk vessels.

Its fleet consists of a mix of four owned and nine bareboat chartered ro-ro and bulk vessels, covering the Northern Europe and North American markets, primarily.
