December 17 - Livingston International has sold its event logistics business, which provides specialized services for trade shows and other events and which is operated under the name Livingston Event Logistics, to ICECORP Logistics.

This transaction does not affect Livingston International's customs brokerage, international trade consulting, international freight forwarding, vehicle transportation or managed services businesses.

Under the terms of the transaction, ICECORP Logistics is extending offers of employment to all of Livingston's event logistics staff, taking over all assets of the business and assuming all contracts and leases.

"Our decision to exit the convention and trade show business is part of our five-year plan to focus more sharply and more deliberately on serving the clients of our growing customs brokerage, trade consulting and international freight forwarding businesses, particularly in the United States market," said Livingston CEO Peter Luit.

"Like the integrated logistics business that we are transitioning to a competitor as we announced last week, the niche event logistics operation is interesting, but no longer fits into our strategy for significant growth. We are confident that event organizers, exhibitors and our other business partners in the trade show industry will be well served by ICECORP and that our event logistics staff will continue to be successful serving the same clients, as they have in the past," concluded Luit.
