During a keynote speech on 'Start-up and Survival' at the recent World Freighters Conference in Spain, Mr Buhazza provided an insight into Maximus' business model.

"In just four years we have achieved so much, and despite the global downturn, the future looks bright," he said.

"The Middle East has clear advantages over other regions to reach European, Asian and African markets. Added to this, we also expect freight traffic to triple over the next twenty years."

The airline, a part of Abu Dhabi Aviation Group, was established in 2005 and specialises in OOG cargoes and wet leasing aircraft.
