March 22 - Megalift has taken delivery of three Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile cranes.

The three 250-tonne lifting capacity machines will join Megalift's fleet at its site in Bremen, Germany and will close the gap between the LTM 1200-5.1 and the LTM 1350-6.1 models, claims Leibherr.

The LTM 1250-5.1 cranes were ordered with a full range of equipment and will be used for industrial installation work. Bernd Preusse, company proprietor and manager, explains: "Highly flexible machines are very important for our day-to-day business. Liebherr's VarioBallast delivers exactly this flexibility. It also reduces the number of ballast transport runs we have to make."

The LTM 1250-5.1 can be operated with two different ballast radii: 5.58 m or 4.78 m. The ballast radius is reduced by 0.8 m using standard mechanically adjusted ballasting cylinders. In addition to a multi-functional folding jib, a 50 m fixed jib is also available.

Megalift, which has 16 mobile cranes ranging from lifting capacities of 35 tonnes to 750 tonnes, will receive the three cranes within three months. According to Liebherr, the crane rental and heavy haulage company has also ordered a LTM 11200-9.1, which will be delivered later this year.
