November 29 - MHI Vestas Offshore Wind has signed an agreement with BOW Terminal to develop a pre-assembly facility at the Port of Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

Under the agreement, BOW Terminal will provide 20 hectares (49.4 acres) of land at the port.

According to MHI Vestas, the Port of Vlissingen is becoming an increasingly strategic location for Dutch offshore wind, as a significant portion of future projects are slated to be constructed in the region.

The first project for MHI Vestas at Vlissingen, scheduled for late 2018, will be the Norther offshore wind park, located 23 km (14.3 miles) off the Belgian coast and in close proximity to the new pre-assembly facility.
