August 3 - The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) has advised that the Michigan Department of Transportation's (MDOT) new Permit Gateway (MPG) will go live on August 14, 2015.
From August 14, permits previously obtained for MDOT purposes through the Michigan Business One Stop (MBOS) will be processed through the new MPG system.
Due to the switchover, the systems for ordering oversize/overweight permits (MiTRIP), billboard permits (IHAP) and construction permits (CPS) will be down from noon on August 13 until noon on August 15.
MiTRIP transportation permit customers are advised to order any permits for travel needed between August 13 and August 19 by noon on August 12.
