June 4 - Bjarne Mathiesen, port director at Denmark's Port of Aarhus, will resign from his position by the end of 2013.

Mathiesen has served in the role since 2000. He explained that now is the right time for leaving the management to someone else, with the future presenting new commercial development opportunities.

Mayor Jacob Bundsgaard, chairman of the board, Port of Aarhus, added: "Mathiesen has headed a remarkable company efficiently and in an outstanding way, especially during recent years where the port has been facing a great challenge as a consequence of the market development."
